Thank you so much for your help today and for taking the time to set me in the right direction.
In my haste (& panic) to solve the problem with my door opener, I failed to stop and remember that it was 16 years old, and that the gears had already been replaced at least once before. Instead I just picked up the phone and called Precision Door Company.
I really appreciate your concern for my situation, and for providing the best recommendation for me, not the one that would cost me the most money. You not only saved me from wasting your time, but you saved me from paying a $85 service call fee, just to have you tell me my opener was trashed and should really be replaced.
You also gave me some great recommendations on the new openers that you sell, and warned me to stay away from the lower quality openers on the market. I appreciated all of your recommendations, and your honesty in your approach.
I have purchased and installed several openers over the years, and so I am choosing to do some research and then purchase and install a replacement. If I find that I cannot do this on my own, you will be the first person & company I call.
Thank you again for your honesty, and for doing business “the old fashioned way”, where the customer needs come first, not the products you need to sell.
I will continue to call on Precision Door for any future service needs that I have.
