The garage door is noticeably quieter, and the technician was polite and respectful. At the time of service, I trusted that the quoted prices were fair since I wasn’t familiar with the cost of keypads, rollers, or other parts. After researching afterward, I was disappointed to find significant markups. The same Genie keypad I was charged $125 for is available directly from Genie for about $50. The Green Z bearing rollers were far less expensive online than the $250 I was charged. The vinyl weatherstrip seal was also priced higher per foot than comparable products available at Home Depot. On top of that, a $15 “environmental fee” felt unnecessary and poorly explained. I acknowledge that I should have asked more questions or researched beforehand, but the extent of the upcharges is concerning. Because of this experience, I will not use Precision again and would not recommend them due to the excessive markup on parts.

My wife and I were out of the country when our dog sitter called telling us the garage door would not open. She sent a pic and I noticed right away the torsion spring was broken. I called my neighbor who started calling companies. Precision Door was able to come out that same day and make the repair while the other companies were out until the following week. Once home I noticed a sensor wire loose and near the follower on the opener. I called Precision and without question they sent Tyler out, who had done the previous work. They even sent a text when Tyler was on the way along with his picture. Tyler secured the wire and then informed me the work they performed the previous visit did not included the sensor and had no idea how the wire had come loose. I offered to pay for the service and Tyler refused. Are you kidding me??? What company does that? A quality job for a fair price and a 3 year warranty on parts and labor. Who provides that in this day and age? When I need future garage door work Precision will get my call.
