I normally do things myself, but with moving I decided to call to get my door repaired as it had the cable jump the track and canted the door sideways. I called and they had someone out within a day. Josh responded and was polite, knowledgeable, and got the door repaired within 30 mins!! I will absolutely be using this company again! Absolutely phenomenal service and great company!

My garage door spring broke a few days before the 4th of July. Knowing that it was a weekend and going into a partial holiday week, I was concerned about how quickly I would be able to get my garage door springs replaced so that I could get our vehicles in and out of the garage. I gave PDS a call based on the reviews I read online. The customer service agent was able to schedule me for a next day appointment. Dylan arrived earlier than scheduled which was perfect. Dylan reviewed my garage door status and made recommendations on repair steps beyond the springs that needed addressed. He replaced both springs, my rollers, and bearings in a professional, timely manner. My garage door is nice and quiet now and opens and closes without issues. The price was more than I expected to pay for what was needed, however working with a knowledgeable technician, and the 7 year warranty is piece of mind. I would recommend PDS and Dylan to anyone in the KC metro that needs garage door service.

Unfortunately I had a negative experience today with the tech who came to my house. After assessing my very old chain driven opener he told me he couldn’t work on my system. I understand the reasons he gave but rather than telling me what we could do he kept telling me that he couldn’t touch my system. He did remain courteous despite my obvious disappointment in this response. He did not at any time say he could replace my system and at that point I did not ask as I was very displeased. I sent him away due to him continuing to tell me what he couldn’t do for me. I would have greatly appreciated being told first what could be done and I would have paid to have a replacement but instead he left and I ended up very disappointed.

The spring on my garage door broke on Thursday. I called another company on Thursday they could have a technican out the nex day. Unfortunately there was no techinicans avialable on Friday. They would have someone out on Monday by 11:00 am no calls or no one showed up so I cancelled their service. We called Precision at 11:00 am and Tyler and Brian were out at 1:30 pm. the SAME DAY!! Both gentlemen were very polite and gave us three options to choose from. Explaining each of them and said they had what we needed to get the job done right now. They were very professional and answered all our questions. I would highly recommend Precision Overhead Garage Door Service. The customer service was excellent.

To be honest, the reason we called Precision was because of the professionalism of tech we had the first time. I dont believe we will be calling again after this repair. This tech was knowledgeable but obviously worked for commission. At no fault of Precision, I believe the bar that goes through the springs wasnt installed level and is causing the bearings to wear prematurely. We werent in a position to pay $1000 at this time so we opted to only replace the springs. While everything was apart i asked he would mind lowering the bearing plates which consisted of 2 bolts/nuts per side. Was told no since i wasn’t replacing the actual bearings. I then asked if i could lower them myself since everything was apart and no tension on the springs but also no. This may have taken me a minute…more time to move the ladder than removing the 2 nuts and retightening them. We’re happy they were able to schedule us same day since our cars were trapped but this tech wasn’t interested in helping us out. Oh well, lesson learned.

Cannot say enough good things about these guys! I called in on Saturday, and received a Sunday morning appointment. Josh showed up right on time, and was very courteous and professional. He explained the scope of the work and gave me a price: could not have been nicer. The repair to my garage door spring took about an hour, and I'm very happy with the results.
