We have lived in out house for three years and always thought that we need new garage doors. I did called Precision and they came out and said that they could repair our doors and replace our garage door opener at a savings to us. They replaced the rollers,springs and installed safety lines on the springs. I we so happy the first time that I came home from the store with my hands full and could go through the garage and not have to mess around with the front door and trying to unlock it. I am very happy with the work!!!!! Also they came and gave me an estimate and said that they could have it fixed that night. They ran into a problem and had to come back the next day. But true to there word there was no extra fee for them to come back. They were very professional and cleaned up after they left. They made sure that I knew how to operate the key pad and change the code. I would recommend precision to anyone.

Work was great, price wasn't so great. Seemed like the price was at least twice what I would have thought for the parts and labor that were installed. Only took about 45 minutes to install two extension springs and four pulleys. Ask for itemized statement, electronic version that is e-mailed only has total amount indicated and no break-down.
Terry, You should of received an emailed Itemize statement along with your inspection,warranty and the Good, Better and Best solution for your door. I left a message for you, but have not heard back, so I'm mailing a duplicate Itemize statement to you. The parts purchased include the labor and tax. I did notice that you went with the better option, and replaced your pulley's, the pulley's are a commercial grade and will last you much longer than your original pulley's. We appreciate you choosing Precision and want to make sure your happy, not only with the service, but the price of the service. Thank you for taking the time to write to us and commending our service tech's for a job well done...

Our extra garage door would not fully open. We had had service done on our main garage door the previous year by Precision and we called them, again. Terry came and evaluated the situation. The workings were original to the house and so we decided to have them all replaced. When trying to open the door, Terry saw that gear shaft was stripped. Thus, this was replaced. Very pleased with the service and personnel.

3 Stars The Product was fine. The Installation failed to exceed my expectations. Technicians were not familiar with older house construction. Did not have proper tools or training in quality installation management.
Mr. Hoffman, Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us with your concerns, your recent purchase of the Lift Master 8550, was an excellent choice. Unfortunately the standard wood screws supplied by Lift Master were not enough to pull your big heavy wood door. We do offer an Operator bracket that is use on steel doors and any door of extreme weight, but I believe our tech's were able to save you the additional expense of the heavy duty operator bracket by using carriage bolts that they drilled through your door. Technicians did a great job and were friendly. Cost seems too high. $65 for a bracket? Will probably look around for a better price next time.

The bracket you are referring to, is a Center Bearing Bracket that allows your shaft to turn while supporting the two high cycle torsion springs that are bolted together on the bracket, It has 13 stainless steel ball bearing, and is a key piece of the daisy chain that makes your door go up and down. The price of the bracket includes the installation of the bracket. And you received a 5 year warranty on parts and labor. I hope that this helps you with your concern about what you received. I know looking at an invoice and seeing the word bracket and 65.00 and not knowing what you got would put me out of sorts as well. :)

This was second time to use Precision Door Service. I am just as impress this time as the first. Called at 8 Saturday morning and repair person was here around 9:30. Although the news wasn't good , a new system was installed, explanations provided, good clean up, very courteous, and done in about an hour.

The guys were great! Arrived promptly when I called after on spring broke and the door crashed. I could not lift the wooden door by myself, had to have the work done fast. They opened it and put new springs and cables on both sides, re-installed the runners, did an entire fix of everything but the door itself, for 10% of what I had been told years was the only solution to my problems: to replace the door ! One corner of the door had been bent in, and the door only manually operative, for 8 years!

Price quoted on the phone was for materials only. A labor charge was added. You should be clear that the quoted price is materials only. Lubrication/disposal fee is ridiculous. You could have left the springs in my garbage. Classic bait and switch. It would not have been as easy for you if I had been home.
Thank you for your review. I can understand your frustrations working second hand and not being informed. I reviewed the phone call your wife placed. First, To clarify we do charge labor with all parts installed ( included in parts price ) or bid on site jobs that do not require our parts, but more as labor to complete a task at hand, and the quote is confirmed beforehand by the Tech and all parties. We do however have a service call that does not have any labor attached to it for the purpose of repairs, but to schedule your timeframe and complete a full inspection of your door and opener and provide you with a complete solution to fix your door to standards recommended by the International door association. We do offer a discount on such service call when customers perform service at time of discussed timeframe. Secondly, Materials/Lube/Environmental/Maintenance Fee, Is standard in EVERY single service company. You are paying for it somewhere. Nothing would of made us happier to have you the decision maker at home. You would have seen and learned the importance of how all the functioning parts play a role in your everyday usage to minus frequent repairs of essentially your front door. Our Goal is Simple To provide 3 things. 1. Best Service = Professional and on time 2. Best Parts = We exceed the industry standards 3. I found Precision on the web, called and they were able to come out the next day. Terry gave me a education on my garage door & operator. It was loud, leaking something and I knew it needed attention. I have a very heavy door, 300+ pounds and found out my operator was lifting way more than it was supposed to over 50 pounds, normal is 10-15 lbs. I needed new springs and rollers. Once Terry was finished I could hardly hear my garage door go up or down. How nice! Terry was very knowledgeable.
